Actions speak louder than words

Not when words are meant to hurt

To sting, to leave an imprint

Actions fade into the background

When words are loud enough

Hurt people hurt people

Hurt people say hurtful words

Bringing more hurt - a hurtful cycle

Stops only when hurt heals

How does hurt heal?

Is it words or action?

Can healing words heal the hurt?

Or do they just sting the wound

Should be actions then

Maybe that’s how they're really loud

But actions are in the future

Can the present borrow some healing

From the future, when actions shout

Maybe just a whisper right now

Spoken with words meant to heal

That should work, should heal the heart right away

If it doesn't, then there is always time

Words sink in with time

Actions grow louder

So it’s time that’s the loudest

Time — the great healer

Until it runs out

Leaving the wound open forever
